If you look closely you'll notice the links are hearts with perpendicular half hearts on top. This makes for a neat 3D design and perfect for an oxidized finish. The "hearts" are mostly black on the surface and the dots dangling at the bottom of the earrings are left shiny. The back of each heart is smooth.
Lever backs keep them securely clipped on the ears.
